Acceptance of Reports: Mark Wolfheimer, Chapter Chairperson called the meeting to order at 4:47pm. Motions were made to accept the Secretary reports. Accordingly the report was accepted. Mark reviewed the Chairperson’s agenda items:
- The schedule of events was reviewed. The Golf Outing needs to be evaluated to see if we want to change the venue or the format. Last year’s outing was not well attended.
- The 2012 ASIS Annual Seminar will be held in Philadelphia from 9/9/2012 through 9/13/2012. Dan Kropp and Bill Lutz, Jr. have been appointed as Chairman and Vice Chairman of the “Host Committee”. A number of Chapter members have already volunteered to get involved with the Committee. The current list of volunteers includes: Bill Durso, Sam Vinicur, Christopher Sherman, Russ Kolins, Mark Wolfheimer, Justin Kleskie, Josh Carver, Maureen Rush, Ron Rabena, Dan Kropp, Christian Colburn and Bill Nestor.
- We still need to award our second $500.00 scholarship to Jim DeStefano’s son. We are waiting to see if he can come to one of our meetings so we can present him with his check.
- The “Young Professionals” group is an official entity for people who are new to the industry and who need a mentor. There is a new LinkedIn page and the Chapter Liaison person is Michael Snock, he can be reached at Snock221@hotmail.com . There is no further news regarding this group.
- Josh has been working on getting the new taxes exempt ID. He has been working through the National office because their names are on the accounts. We have received a new EIN number.
- Justin Kleskie made the IB Hale submission. The Chapter will send out reminders to all members every few months to remind them to submit notable events that can help us win this award. Steve Chupa has volunteered to help with next year’s submission.
- We need to find a new company to administer our website. Josh has reached out to National regarding their ability to provide this service to the Chapters. They fully intend to but it will not be available for a few months. We would like to proceed with the Star Chapter as our new website provider as long as they can provide everything we have now at a lower or equal cost.
- We have signed up to have our Credit Card processing handled through Intuit’s GoPayments. We will be able to accept credit card payments in the next month or two once we get the nonprofit documents squared away. This is being held up by the Tax ID and tax exempt issue.
- Jim Prout will be our new Regional Vice President; Mark Wolfheimer will become the Assistant Regional Vice President.
- Bill Durso and Sam Vinicur updated us on tonight’s PSAN event.
- There was no other old business.
- New Business: The ASIS International Mentoring program was discussed. Steve Chupa offered to mentor someone. He said we should contact David Gibbs of the Management Council, formerly the Business Practices Council to get more information on the Mentoring program.
Executive Meeting adjourned at 5:30pm.
